The Girl Who Ate Moondust - submitted by Mario Giannella '75 One of my roomates at Cornell, a girl whose name shall be witheld, had a boyfriend who worked in the Space Sciences building as a graduate student. Some of the moondust retrived by NASA's Apollo missions was sent to there for analysis. Well, this enterprising young fellow decided to sneak some out, and impress his girlfriend with some dust from the faraway moon as a special gift. She happily accepted. But after they broke up, she became a bit nervous. Would her illegally owned stash be discovered? Would the FBI decend on her and ruin her? What should she do? And then she hit upon the ultimate idea: why not incorporate the dust from the moon - which had been sprinkled with countless impacts by meteors from the far reaches of the solar system - into her own body? So she ate it.
